Borrowing from the Ship of Theseus – a thought experiment that goes like this: if you replace all of the components of a ship, is it still the same ship? Which brings me to introduce my 3D printer, the Ship of Theseus!

This is a stock Rostock Max V3 from SeeMeCNC. It took me about 8 hours over 2 days to assemble, and the print quality was absolutely amazing for the price. The only modification shown in this picture, were the LED lights I added to the top. I got those from Lowe’s – link. I got the Raspberry Pi 3 with this printer, and installed Octoprint and a webcam. This worked extremely well, and to be honest, I’m not sure all of my modifications helped much.

Anyways, here are a few prints:

So yeah, this printer is well worth the money. I would absolutely love their new printer, the Artemis, but it is a little too expensive for me.
